BAND BIO
Chasing Rumours, formerly Mirage, formed in the 1990's in the Chicagoland area where they were known for their Fleetwood Mac & Heart Tribute. The band opened for many celebrated artists such as Cheap Trick, Grand Funk, Joan Jett, Paul Rodgers, Kansas, and many more. Notable venues include Little Italy Fest, Hawthorn Fest, Vic Theater, Hoffman Estates Fest, Westchester Fest, Navy Pier, Arcada Theater, Des Plaines Theater, Hobart Theater, Orland Park Fest, Arlington Heights Fest, Blarneys Island, Naperville Rib Fest, Naperville Last Fling, Hard Rock Casino, Harrah's Casino, to name a few.
The band performed for 6 years before Rob Wiseman (Infinity) joined the popular Chicago band ARRA. Julia went on to form tribute shows out in Las Vegas before returning to IL in 2019 and reinventing the band with Rob--renaming the new show Chasing Rumours. This time the band would cover not only Fleetwood Mac and Heart, but Tom Petty and other legendary artists. They wanted to create something more unique than what tribute shows have to offer and be a great fit for any venue situation and all-age audience.
The band's first 3 shows opened for popular Chicago bands ARRA, 7th Heaven, and Infinity.
Shortly after they began performing at notable local venues and festivals. Julia began performing a duo with Steve Haraburda (lead guitar)
Chasing Rumours band members are Rob Wiseman on Drums, Steve Haraburda on lead guitar/vocals, Kris Norton on keys/vocals, Julia Sara on rhythm guitar/vocals, and Justin Smith on bass/vocals.
The band offers a unique variety of classic rock, along with a little modern rock and country--something for everyone!
